| To every mom whose
ever wanted motherhood to be better,
Parenthood is a wonderful time when you can share your love with
that unique little someone, but I I know what it's like to be a
working mother, work, work and more work! sometimes
up all night with a sick child, having to rush to get to daycare
and then run to be at work on time, all without much rest or sleep.
Its a busy life sometimes but we all have to deal with it in different
ways. Does this sound familiar to youin any way?
My name is Rachel Irvine
and I know how you feel. Why? Because I'm a mom and I've been there.
No matter how ready you are in your life to have children, parenthood
is a giagantic adjustment. No matter who or where you are
everyone must make massive changes in their lives at this point.
You can
plan your life to a T. But that doesn't mean your child is going
to follow your plan! When my son was born, I thought I'd
never sleep again. My mother told me that I slept right
through the night practically from birth. If I did, why couldn't
my son?
Nobody else in the world
will care if you've had no sleep. There were days I sat slumped
at my desk unable to do anything because I was so exhausted from
sleep deprivation. It made it so hard to concentrate and when I
started to get behind, I felt like a failure!
It doesn't have to be
like this I thought, surely It can't be like this for everyone who
is a parent. So I started to really look at my life and how I was
handling motherhood. Before long I had formulated many different
ways to deal with everyday situations and I was
able to take control again. The relief was palpable. I could
finally take time to breath again.
I don't want anyone to
feel as I did. That's why I've written this book to share my methods
and experience, called Tears,
Tantrums and Joy. In the book I give you an honest
account of my experience raising my son and what I did to turn my
life around so that I not only felt good about my life again, but
I enjoyed motherhood!
No mother should have
to feel like a failure and no mother should feel like they're all
alone. That's why Tears,
Tantrums and Joy, is a must have book for every
mother to read.
